That however; will change. The software will not generally change a great deal, and many of the updates will not effect you at all. The maps will change frequently and those changes may effect you a great deal. Highways and streets are constantly being built or changed. New construction and changes to streets, subdivisions, and interchanges can significantly effect your travels. To keep a GPS System current, updated maps should be installed periodically, and not surprisingly, they often have to be purchased.
